Job summary

Cavendish Professionals is recruiting a Senior Engineer to join a well-established client in Bristol. The role requires setting out on site, RAMS preparation, and ensuring health and safety compliance on site.

Candidate should have CSCS and SMSTS, a construction-related degree, and proven experience in RC frame or groundworks projects, with strong client liaison skills.

Qualifications

• Senior/Setting Out Engineer experience for RC Frame or Groundworks contractor.
• Experience delivering setting out on site and interpreting drawings.
• Strong safety focus including RAMS and risk assessments.
• Ability to manage client relationships and support project management.
• Experience with CSCS and SMSTS certifications.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Setting out on site to ensure accuracy against drawings.
• Carry out as-builts and ensure QA on site.
• Support Project Manager in reporting and client liaison.
• Prepare and implement RAMS for safe delivery and compliance.
• Monitor health and safety policies and report incidents or near misses.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer to join one of our well-established clients in Bristol.

Skills and Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Senior/Setting Out Engineer for a RC Frame or Groundworks contractor.
• Manage and monitor the commercial performance of the project.
• Prepare and implement RAMS to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies, undertake risk assessments, and report incidents or near misses.
• Support the Project Manager / Contracts Manager in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Carry out additional Site Engineer duties as needed to meet project demands.

• As Builts
• CSCS and SMSTS certifications, plus two recent professional references.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
