Job summary

Cavendish (Recruitment) Professionals Ltd is recruiting a Site Engineer for a residential project in Watchet, Somerset. You will be responsible for setting out, level checks, and ensuring QA compliance on site.

Applicants should have strong experience with foundations, drainage, external works and RC structures, and be proficient with Leica/Trimble surveying tools. A CSCS card, SMSTS/SSSTS, and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Setting out engineer with experience in groundworks, RC frame or civil contracting.
• Experience on residential projects is essential.
• Strong knowledge of foundations, drainage, external works and reinforced concrete structures.
• CSCS card and SMSTS/SSSTS are essential. Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Set out, level and monitor site works to specification and drawings.
• Inspect and interpret technical drawings and QA procedures.
• Maintain accurate as-built surveys and site documentation.
• Coordinate with site team to ensure compliance and safety.

Skills and Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Setting Out Engineer for a Groundworks, RC Frame or Civil Engineering contractor.
• Previous experience working on a residential project is essential.
• Strong knowledge of foundations, drainage, external works and reinforced concrete structures.
• Competent using Leica or Trimble surveying equipment and GPS.
• Experience using AutoCAD and interpreting technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of QA procedures, as-built surveys and site documentation.
• CSCS Card (Essential).
• SMSTS or SSSTS (Essential).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
