Job summary

Red Sky Personnel Ltd is seeking a Senior Engineer for a Tier 1 civil engineering and infrastructure contractor. The role centres on deep water infrastructure, trunk water mains and trenchless construction, offering strong technical responsibility and exposure to complex water projects.

You will manage survey control and setting out, Safe Systems of Work, QA plans, Temporary Works and RFIs, while supporting the development of Site Engineers and trainees and coordinating with the delivery team.

Qualifications

• Experience in deep water infrastructure civil engineering, including trunk water mains and trenchless construction.
• Competent in developing and reviewing Safe Systems of Work.
• Experience developing and implementing Quality Assurance Plans.
• Competent in the management of Temporary Works.
• Strong site survey and setting-out capability.
• Experience developing weekly work plans and other short-term planning tools.
• Competent in information controls and the RFI process.
• Degree/HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
• CSCS and SMSTS.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for key engineering activities across projects, including survey control and setting out, Safe Systems of Work, QA and Temporary Works.
• Work closely with the Site Agent, Sub Agent and wider delivery team to develop safe and efficient methods of working.

Senior Engineer

Are you a Senior Engineer with experience delivering deep water infrastructure, including trunk water mains and trenchless construction, looking for a role offering greater technical responsibility and exposure to complex water infrastructure projects?

This is an opportunity to join an established Tier 1 civil engineering and infrastructure contractor with a strong pipeline of work across the water sector. With a direct-delivery model and specialist capability across civil engineering, pipelines, tunnelling, MEICA and design, the business offers varied technical exposure alongside strong opportunities for continued development and progression.

The Role

As Senior Engineer, you will take responsibility for key engineering activities across projects, including survey control and setting out, Safe Systems of Work, quality assurance, Temporary Works and technical information. Salary & Package

£50,000 £55,000 per annum, plus company car/car allowance, pension, private medical, 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, and ongoing training and career development.
