James Lambeth Limited recruits a Senior Engineer for a major infrastructure project in Bridgwater, Somerset. You will lead a team of three engineers, coordinate setting out and engineering activities, and manage external works packages.

The role reports to the Project Manager, focusing on QA, health & safety, and client liaison. Immediate start with long-term work secured through August 2027, outside IR35, with a competitive day rate.

Competenze

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer within civil engineering or groundworks.
• Strong background delivering roads, infrastructure and external works.
• Experience managing and developing engineering teams.
• Excellent QA and technical knowledge.
• CSCS Card essential

James Lambeth Recruitment are working with a leading civil engineering and groundworks contractor to recruit a Senior Engineer for a major infrastructure development in Bridgwater, Somerset.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile project and take responsibility for managing a team of three Engineers while overseeing substantial external works packages.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead a team of Engineers and coordinate the delivery of multiple work fronts across the project.

Typical works include:

• Groundworks
• Roads and infrastructure
• Kerbing and drainage
• Car parks and hard standings
• Hard landscaping
• Soft landscaping
• External works packages

Responsibilities

• Managing and mentoring a team of three Engineers

• Reviewing drawings and technical information
• Ensuring quality assurance standards are maintained
