Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a Senior Engineer for projects in the Southwest region, including Crewkerne and Glastonbury. The role involves permanent or long-term contracting on civil engineering schemes focused on water and wastewater frameworks over 5+ years.

You will set out roads, structures and drainage, manage permits, and uphold site health, safety and quality standards. AutoCAD drawings and accurate reporting are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in surveying and setting out on civil projects.
• Commitment to quality control and design spec compliance.
• Strong awareness of health, safety and environmental standards on site.

Responsibilities

• Setting out roads, structures and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations).
• Assist with quality control to ensure standards meet design specifications.
• Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management).
• Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to client and business requirements.
• Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification.
• Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations.
• Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD.

Job description

My client is a long established, leading Civil Engineering Contractor.

Due to planned growth and an influx of work in their Southwestern Region, they are looking to appoint, on a permanent basis or a long term contract basis (12 months+) a Senior Engineer to work on projects in the Southwest and initially on two projects in Crewkerne and Glastonbury.

Initially, you will be working on civil engineering projects predominantly in the water and wastewater sectors as part of a major framework for the next 5+ years.

My client would prefer someone on a permanent basis but would consider someone residing locally who would be seeking a long term contract.

Role & Duties

• Setting out roads, structures and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
• Assist with quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
• Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
• Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
• Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
• Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
• Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD.
