Job summary

WSP UK is seeking an experienced Engagement leader to drive stakeholder engagement across major infrastructure projects. You will lead a regional team and shape how communities are engaged throughout delivery.

The role requires senior leadership, strong relationship building, and the ability to work across water, transport, energy and environmental sectors, with regular presence in the Manchester office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading consultation and engagement on large, multi‑disciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Degree qualified or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Membership of a relevant professional or trade body (desirable).
• Experience across road, rail, utilities, water, environment or energy sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead a regional team of communication and engagement experts.
• Manage new and existing projects and strengthen client relationships.
• Advise on engagement and consultation strategies for infrastructure projects.
• Ensure compliance with planning legislation and DCO requirements.
• Embed best practice in communications, consultation and engagement.
• Plan and deliver stakeholder communications and events.
• Lead tender responses and support business development.
• Manage project resourcing, budgets, risks and programmes.
