Job summary

WSP is seeking a seasoned leader to head engagement and consultation across major UK infrastructure projects. You will shape how projects connect with communities, lead distributed teams, and build strategic client relationships from the Manchester hub.

Joining the Engagement and Consultation Service Line, you will drive excellence in engagement practice, deliver high‑quality outputs, and contribute to growth across water, health, energy and environmental sectors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading consultation and engagement on large infrastructure projects.
• Degree qualified or equivalent professional experience.
• Membership of a relevant professional or trade body is desirable.
• Experience across road, rail, utilities, water, environment or energy sectors.

Responsibilities

• Advise project teams and clients on engagement and consultation strategies for complex infrastructure projects.
• Lead and support teams delivering engagement across projects and programmes.
• Provide line management and development for engagement specialists.
• Manage resourcing, budgets, risks and programmes to ensure on‑time delivery.
