Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a talented Engagement professional to join our UK-wide Engagement team. You will shape how major infrastructure projects connect with communities, delivering thoughtful, impactful engagement that aligns with best practice.

You will manage public consultation and collaborate with colleagues across WSP to deliver engaging communications for clients in water, health, energy and environmental sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering communications and stakeholder engagement on complex infrastructure projects, ideally within a consultancy.
• Degree-qualified (or equivalent) with relevant experience in communications, engagement, or a related advisory role.
• Sector experience in transport, utilities, water, environment, or energy is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meaningful communication and engagement activity to help clients deliver infrastructure projects by drafting and delivering stakeholder engagement strategies.
• Help communities understand projects by writing clear communications and managing design and print processes.
• Provide opportunities for questions and feedback through publishing communications, events, and surveys.
• Present feedback to help projects develop by interpreting data and summarising themes and issues.
• Support clients around the UK and internationally by delivering communications and engagement activities, including virtual consultation rooms and public-facing maps.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver effective communication and engagement activity.
• Manage projects ensuring timelines, budgets and resources are aligned with client expectations.
