Job summary

National Energy System Operator (NESO) seeks a Connections Senior Policy & Change Officer to drive complex policy and code changes for GB’s energy connections reform. You’ll manage relationships with Ofgem, Transmission Owners and other stakeholders, leading strategic policy initiatives aligned with CP30.

Hybrid working options are available across multiple UK offices, with flexibility for full‑time or part‑time arrangements.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK by start of employment.
• Experience building efficient working relationships and developing self and others.
• Strong communicator with excellent writing skills and ability to explain complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop policy changes needed to facilitate Connections Reform and CP30.
• Engage with stakeholders (Ofgem, TOs, DNOs, generators, customers) to advise and lead policy changes.
• Collaborate with multiple groups to develop code and policy changes to support reform.
• Present information clearly to internal and external stakeholders, including senior managers.
• Identify policy gaps and lead actions to resolve them with robust approaches.
