Job summary

Hitachi Energy UK Limited in Birmingham is seeking a Contract Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of contracts across the energy sector. You will draft, negotiate, and manage sales, procurement, service, and partnership agreements while ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

You will partner with project management, legal, sales, and procurement to mitigate risks, monitor performance, and drive timely contract amendments, renewals, and terminations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in contract management, preferably in energy/infrastructure sectors.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering or related discipline; Master's or professional qualification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and administer a variety of contracts (sales, procurement, service, partnerships).
• Ensure contracts comply with Hitachi Energy policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
• Act as primary contact for contractual matters and resolve issues and disputes.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks to protect commercial interests.
• Support contract execution with project management, sales, and procurement teams; monitor milestones and payments.
