Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner for the Minor Injury and Illness unit (MIiU) at North Cotswold Hospital, Moreton in Marsh. This part-time role (18 hours per week) involves shifts from 07:45 to 20:15 and 8:00–14:00 or 14:00–20:00, within a Band 7 framework.

You will provide high standards of adult and paediatric care, lead clinical activities, and participate in teaching and assessment, with opportunities for ongoing professional

Qualifications

Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional Council registration
Emergency Practitioner qualification in injury & illness
Paediatric Minor Illness qualification (PACR or MIMIC)
Teaching & assessment qualification (Level 3)

Responsibilities

Provide high standard of care to adult and paediatric patients in MIiU
Demonstrate effective clinical leadership and prioritise workload
Support preceptorship and ongoing professional development
Use clinical software (System One, PACS) to document care

Education

NMC/HCPC registration

Emergency Practitioner qualification in injury & Illness

Paediatric Minor Illness qualification (PACR or MIMIC)

Teaching & Assessing qualification
