Job summary

Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company is seeking an experienced systems architect to define platforms, standards and technical direction for future security products.

You'll work at concept level, evaluating technologies, shaping security standards and helping Product Managers turn ideas into engineering reality. This is not a hands-on development role, but a role for someone who thinks strategically and communicates clearly to influence direction.

Qualifications

• Experience designing system architectures for embedded platforms.
• Knowledge of embedded Linux or RTOS environments.
• Ability to integrate hardware and software components securely.
• Experience documenting standards and architectures for teams.

Responsibilities

• Define platform architectures and technical direction at concept level.
• Evaluate technologies and set architectural standards for products.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to translate ideas into engineering reality.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to multidisciplinary teams.
• Avoid hands-on development while guiding implementation decisions.

This role is for the person who wants to make them.

A growing technology business is developing a new generation of connected security products and is looking for an experienced systems architect to define the platforms, standards and technical direction future products will be built upon.

You'll work at concept level, evaluating technologies, defining architectures, shaping security standards and helping Product Managers turn ideas into engineering reality.

This is not a hands-on development role.

It's a position for somebody who enjoys solving technical problems before they become projects.

You'll need experience in areas such as:

• Embedded Systems Architecture
• Embedded Linux and/or RTOS
• Hardware and Software Integration
• Security Architecture
• Technical Documentation & Standards

Experience within security products would be useful but isn't essential.

What matters most is the ability to think strategically, communicate clearly and influence technical direction.
