Job summary

DTC | A Codan Company is seeking an Embedded Software Manager to lead the Whiteley team. The role focuses on leadership, technical oversight and improving software delivery for complex products where software, electronics and RF converge.

The successful candidate will manage an established high performing team, contribute to design reviews, and help shape the team’s technology roadmap while ensuring high standards and productive collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams.
• Strong embedded software development background using C/C++.
• Experience with embedded Linux and driver development.
• Understanding of software architecture, design reviews and lifecycle.
• Experience developing engineers and improving team capability.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across projects.
• Clear communication and constructive decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high performing team of embedded engineers.
• Provide leadership, oversee delivery across projects, and manage priorities.
• Contribute to code and design reviews to uphold standards.
• Shape technical vision and roadmap for the team.
• Collaborate with PMs and other disciplines to coordinate delivery.
• Support transfer of designs into production with manufacturing.
