Job summary

Intellectual Capital Resources Ltd is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Glasgow for a hybrid role. You will design, develop and deliver high-reliability embedded software within a space-focused, mission-critical context.

Expect to work across the full lifecycle and help drive improvements in testing, quality and processes. You’ll mentor peers and provide technical guidance while enhancing firmware and low-level software for resource-constrained systems in a space technology

Qualifications

• Proficient in C for real-time, constrained systems.
• Experience with RTOS environments (FreeRTOS/Zephyr) or Embedded Linux.
• Strong understanding of microcontroller peripherals and hardware
• Experience with Git, CI/CD and automated testing
• Strong debugging skills across the full software lifecycle
• Ideally experience in space, safety-critical or mission-critical domains

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver high-reliability embedded software.
• Work across the full product lifecycle to create low-level firmware and embedded software.
• Drive improvements in development processes, testing and software quality.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.
