Job summary

Intellectual Capital Resources Ltd in the UK is seeking a Senior Embedded Linux Software Engineer to take technical ownership of major software work packages across mission-critical satellite communication products. The role combines software architecture, C/C++ development and embedded Linux, with exposure to full product lifecycle.

You will collaborate with hardware, firmware and international teams to build highly reliable systems used in satellite communications and maritime safety

Qualifications

• Extensive experience developing embedded Linux systems, with strong C++ and C.
• Good working knowledge of Yocto and custom embedded Linux distros
• Experience with embedded networking and network products is advantageous
• Understanding of RTOS, bare‑metal firmware and ARM based MCUs
• Strong experience with CI/CD, Git‑based development, automated testing and HIL

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of major software work packages across mission-critical satellite communication products.
• Provide technical leadership across architecture and design reviews and mentor engineers.
• Help drive software quality, security and engineering best practices across UK and international teams.
