Job summary

Sovos is seeking a Principal Solution Architect, Embedded Platforms to shape how top software vendors embed Sovos technology. You will lead integration designs, influence product direction and advise executives on strategic partnerships.

You will integrate with global ISV partners, design scalable solutions and mentor other architects while guiding enterprise-grade architectures and cloud-native approaches across geographies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years in product/tax/ERP technology consulting, enterprise software engineering, or similar roles.
• Proven understanding of global tax compliance and indirect tax processes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience designing enterprise integration solutions using APIs, webhooks, cloud-native technologies and modern architectural patterns.
• Experience with tax compliance, ERP integration, e-invoicing or regulatory technology platforms; Sovos experience is advantageous but not required.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures and enterprise integration principles.
• Experience supporting ISVs through solution architecture, technical consulting or strategic partnerships.
• Proven success managing complex technical relationships with enterprise software vendors or strategic technology partners.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence senior executives and translate technical concepts into business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic ISV partnership discovery and design scalable embedded compliance solutions.
• Deliver architecture documentation, integration designs and roadmaps.
• Design enterprise-grade integration architectures using APIs, webhooks and cloud-native tech.
• Establish governance and testing frameworks for partner integrations.
• Set strategic technical objectives across a portfolio of embedded partnerships.
• Mentor Solution Architects and promote best practices across the organisation.
• Build executive relationships with Product, Engineering and Compliance leaders.
• Provide strategic feedback to influence product capabilities and roadmaps.
