Zusammenfassung

Xstrahl, Inc invites a Mechanical Electrical Design Engineer to join our R&D team in the West Midlands. You will design and develop electrical and electronic systems for therapy and research cabinets, from concept through verification, compliance and manufacturing.

You will lead embedded ARM-based designs, motor control modules, and power supply circuits, while supporting safety, EMC and regulatory tests. A strong, cross‑functional collaboration with engineers is essential.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years’ experience in PCB design including schematic capture and layout.
• Experience contributing to electrical/hardware designs from requirements through verification.
• Experience supporting products into manufacturing is desirable.
• Familiar with regulated product development processes, design reviews, and verification evidence.
• Hands-on experience debugging new electrical/electronic designs.

Aufgaben

• Design and validate embedded systems based on ARM architectures with RTOS.
• Develop motor control modules for precision mechanical systems from design to verification.
• Design and review DC/DC and AC/DC power supplies for low/medium-power applications.
• Support EMC/EMI testing, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Create and maintain CAD schematics, PCB layouts, and controlled design documentation for manufacturing and regulatory review.
• Maintain and debug existing designs and resolve field issues with root-cause analysis.
