Job summary

Expleo is seeking an Automotive Integration Engineer to lead the integration, validation, and delivery of embedded software for commercial vehicle ECUs. You will coordinate V&V activities across bench, HiL/SIL, and vehicle environments, ensuring robust ECU software releases and timely launches.

The role requires strong technical expertise in ECU integration, automotive communications, and issue resolution, paired with stakeholder management across software, test, and systems teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Full UK (or equivalent) driving licence.
• Relevant automotive integration or validation certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage software integration activities across multiple ECUs and vehicle systems.
• Define and maintain integration, diagnostics, and validation documentation.
• Liaise with system owners and software teams to track software availability and plan V&V activities.
• Coordinate with vehicle test teams to execute HiL, SIL, bench, and in-vehicle testing.
• Perform software flashing, configuration, and calibration activities using diagnostic tools.
• Analyse integration and communication issues and perform root cause analysis to resolution.
• Use automotive tools to monitor, simulate, and debug network behaviour.
• Identify and mitigate integration and release risks early in development lifecycle.
• Track, manage, and report issues through to closure with cross-functional teams.
• Provide on-site support during key integration, test, and launch phases.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of integration processes, tooling, and test coverage.
