Job summary

Expleo, a trusted partner for engineering and digital transformation, is seeking an Engineering Technical Lead in Preston. You will lead a team of software, testing and delivery engineers from requirements through testing to release of embedded software.

Work within an agile V-cycle delivery framework, ensuring customer requirements are met on time. You will mentor engineers, manage risks, and coordinate with customers to deliver robust, well-documented software.

Qualifications

Degree (BEng / MEng) in Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems, Software Engineering or closely related discipline.
Functional Safety (ISO 26262) awareness training desirable.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical authority across all assigned work packages, leading production and review of software architecture documents, design artifacts, Simulink models and testing activities.
Manage the engineering team ensuring all deliverables are achieved on time and to quality, contractual and legislative requirements.
Lead stand‑ups and sprint ceremonies for the Expleo team.
Identify, assess and elevate technical risks, proposing clear mitigation actions.
Ensure resource capability and skill allocation are suitable for the project.
Be the technical focal point of the team and build good working relationships with customers. Manage continuous improvement.
Line‑manage and mentor team of software and test engineers.
