Job summary

SRT Marine Systems plc is developing sovereign territory surveillance platforms with Elixir and OTP, building scalable, distributed services that ingest and process telemetry from global assets. The Senior Elixir Engineer will contribute to architecture, security, and performance in a hybrid Bristol/WFH setup to deliver next‑gen web technologies for maritime authorities.

You’ll work on enabling resilient systems, real‑time data processing, and interactive interfaces using LiveView, with exposure

Qualifications

• Elixir and OTP usage in distributed, fault-tolerant systems.
• Designing APIs and backend services with scalable architecture.
• Experience with Phoenix and LiveView for interactive interfaces.
• Knowledge of distributed relational/OLAP databases and modern deployments.
• Experience with geospatial data and visualization tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Join a small high‑influence team shaping architectural direction.
• Build stable, secure, and scalable OTP services and APIs.
• Develop rich LiveView interfaces and geospatial visualisations.
• Improve deployment, observability, and developer tooling across platforms.
• Collaborate to define technical strategy for the platform.
