Job summary

SRT Marine Systems plc are seeking a Senior Elixir Engineer to help shape the next generation of our platform for sovereign territory surveillance. You’ll contribute to distributed, fault‑tolerant Elixir services and LiveView interfaces, collaborating with engineers to improve architecture and deployment models.

Based in the Bristol area with hybrid working, you’ll have influence over technical strategy and evangelize robust patterns across the stack, including OTP, GenServer, and PostGIS

Qualifications

• Experience with Elixir/OTP and distributed systems.
• Strong background in APIs and backend services.
• Familiarity with geospatial data and PostGIS is advantageous.
• Experience deploying containerised services in cloud and on-prem environments.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable APIs and distributed services for real-time surveillance platforms.
• Develop and maintain Elixir services with OTP supervision trees.
• Design resilient architectures and improve deployment and observability.
• Implement rich LiveView interfaces and geospatial data visuals.
