Job summary

SRT Marine Systems plc is seeking a Senior Elixir Engineer to help shape the Sovereign Territory Surveillance platform. You will work on distributed, event‑driven systems that ingest and process data from thousands of assets globally, with emphasis on scalable OTP services and modern web interfaces.

You’ll influence architecture, discuss deployments, and build resilient software that supports coast guards, naval authorities and government bodies.

Qualifications

• Experience with Elixir and OTP architecture.
• Proficiency with Phoenix and LiveView.
• Designing distributed systems and building APIs/back-end services.
• Experience with distributed relational and/or OLAP databases.
• Containerised applications and modern deployment practices.
• Experience with cloud and on‑premises platforms.
• Designing maintainable software that evolves over time.
• Performance profiling and observability practices.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable APIs for the platform.
• Process and react to live telemetry data.
• Develop rich LiveView interfaces for real‑time dashboards.
• Work with large geospatial datasets and maps.
• Design fault‑tolerant distributed services and supervision trees.
• Help shape technical strategy across the platform.
• Improve deployment, observability and developer tooling.
