Job summary

SRT Marine Systems plc, a UK‑based leader in marine surveillance tech, is hiring a Senior Elixir Engineer for its Sovereign Territory Surveillance programme. The role combines hands‑on engineering with architectural influence across a distributed platform, spanning OTP services, Elixir, Phoenix, LiveView, and geospatial data processing.

You’ll work on a hybrid basis from our Bristol office and remotely, shaping scalable, secure systems that power coast guards, authorities and maritime operators

Qualifications

• Senior Elixir Engineer with distributed systems experience.
• Experience with OTP, Phoenix, LiveView and API design.
• Knowledge of geospatial data and MapLibre is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Join a small team with influence over architecture and technical direction.
• Build scalable APIs and process live maritime telemetry.
• Develop rich LiveView interfaces and geospatial visualisations.
• Design fault‑tolerant distributed services.
• Help shape technical strategy across the platform.
• Improve deployment, observability and developer tooling.
