Sagentia Defence is seeking a Principal Consultant in Electronics & Systems Engineering to lead complex electromechanical product development in Cambridge. You will drive architecture, hardware and embedded design, integration, verification and manufacture transfer while guiding cross-functional teams and engaging with clients.

The role combines technical leadership, programme delivery and commercial awareness within a consultancy-driven environment.

Formación

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Electronics Engineering and/or Systems Engineering.
• Proven experience delivering products through the full product development lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and multidisciplinary product development.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Excellent client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving, planning and organisational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead architecture, design, development and integration of complex electronic and electromechanical systems.
• Define system-level requirements and decompose into hardware, software and mechanical work packages.
• Lead electronics hardware development including analogue, digital and embedded systems.
• Oversee system bring-up, integration, and verification activities.
• Champion design excellence with design reviews, FMEA, risk management and DFM activities.
• Support development of innovative technical solutions and targeted feasibility studies.
