Job summary

Cambridge Design Partnership is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to act as Technical Lead on complex electromechanical projects. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, shaping requirements, architecture and integration while communicating effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, risk management and delivering production-ready designs across electrical, mechanical, firmware and software domains.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product design in regulated environment.
• Hands-on, practical engineering across multiple disciplines.
• Ability to manage interfaces between hardware, embedded software and mechanical subsystems.
• Strong problem solving and decision making under uncertainty.

Responsibilities

• Take a whole-product view from feasibility to verification.
• Define system requirements and trace them to verification.
• Lead technical risk management and risk controls.
• Coordinate across mechanical, electronics, firmware and software teams.
• Plan integration, testing and issue resolution across subsystems.
• Engage with clients to explain options and trade-offs.
