Job summary

Cirrus Selection Limited invites a Senior Test Engineer, Electronics NPI, to join a Stevenage-based team shaping test strategies for a new product line. You will collaborate closely with design engineers to ensure testability is embedded early, write specifications, and drive fixture design from concept to first production release.

Expect hands-on fault diagnosis down to component level, using manual test kits and ATE, while supporting PFMEA and production readiness reviews.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as a test engineer in electronics manufacturing, ideally defence, aerospace or another high-reliability sector.
• Hands-on fault finding on PCBs and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, down to component level.
• Experience with both manual and automated test equipment (ATE).

Responsibilities

• Write test specifications and operator instructions from higher-level requirements.
• Kicking off test fixture designs and estimating test times for new products.
• Support PFMEA and first production readiness by feeding mitigations and test capability to Operations.
• Diagnose faults on circuit card assemblies and sub-assemblies, determining whether issues originate in design, process, or test.
