Job summary

Cirrus Selection is seeking an Electronics Manufacturing Test Engineer to join a new on-site team in Bolton. You will develop and deploy test packages for a SPEA 4050S2 flying probe system, ensuring robust, deployable solutions for manufacturing with a focus on yield improvement and shorter test times.

Requirements include a background in Electronic Engineering or apprenticeship, NVQ3 + Level 4/HNC or BEng/BSc, and hands-on experience with electrical measurement and PCB fault diagnosis.

Qualifications

• Electronic engineering background or apprenticeship
• NVQ Level 3 plus Level 4/HNC or BEng/BSc in engineering
• Solid understanding of electrical/electronic measurement and fault diagnosis on PCBs/sub-assemblies
• Hands-on experience with manual and automated test equipment in high-reliability environments
• Ability to read schematics, drawings and test documentation
• Sole British citizenship with eligibility for security clearance

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy test packages for SPEA 4050S2 flying probe system
• Update and improve existing test packs as products change
• Trace faults to component level using oscilloscope, multimeter and signal generators
• Analyze test data to lift yield and reduce test time
• Work with the test engineering team to shape a new capability on-site
