Job summary

APRIL QUEST LIMITED, a specialist SME engineering and manufacturing business, is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join a small team focused on value engineering and meeting customer requirements.

You will work with procurement to re-engineer products for cost effectiveness while maintaining performance, with flexible hybrid working and involvement in cutting-edge technology within a growing engineering team.

Qualifications

• Value engineering experience – improving existing products for cost effectiveness.
• DFM experience.
• Understands commercial objectives for a senior value engineering role.
• Good electronics design experience – digital & analogue.

Working in a small specialist team of Electronic Hardware Engineers your focus will be on value engineering, understanding the customer requirements and working closely with procurement to re-engineer / reverse engineer products to be more cost effective but still meet customer requirements.

Essential Requirements of the Senior Electronics Engineer

• Value engineering experience - previous experience making existing products more cost effective.
• DFM experience.
• Understands the commercial objectives needed for the senior role focused on value engineering.
• Good electronics design experience – Digital & analogue design experience.

Nice to have Requirements of the Senior Electronics Engineer

• Previous Aerospace or highly regulated industry electronics design experience
