Job summary

Fortis Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer in the Luton area. The role focuses on hands-on design of analog and digital electronics, embedded hardware, and projects spanning aerospace, defence, automotive, medical, and more.

You will own designs from concept through to production, work with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and operate in a hybrid/remote setup with occasional lab visits in Luton.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics hardware design across multiple industries.
• Proficiency with mixed analogue/digital circuits and microcontrollers.
• Proficient schematic capture using Altium.
• PCB design support, testing and troubleshooting experience.
• Solid understanding of EMC, validation and manufacturing requirements.
• Ability to manage technical projects independently.
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC).

Responsibilities

• Design analogue and digital circuits and embedded hardware.
• Own electronics designs from concept to production.
• Collaborate with PCB, mechanical and software engineers.
• Carry out circuit testing, fault finding and validation.
• Support customers with technical advice and design solutions.
• Mentor less experienced engineers.
