Job summary

Starkey Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer for a hybrid role in Telford, Shropshire. The position involves taking ownership of electronic designs from concept through to production, with a mix of on-site and home-based work.

You will work on analogue and digital circuits, PCB layouts and firmware prototyping, with broad responsibility across the product lifecycle and supplier engagement. Hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Extensive analogue and digital circuit design experience.
• Ability to define electronic system architecture from evolving requirements.
• Experience creating schematics and PCB layouts with robust documentation.
• Knowledge of EMC and thermal considerations in PCB design.
• Experience selecting components and managing obsolescence.

Responsibilities

• Define electronic system architecture from evolving requirements.
• Design analogue and digital circuits, including control and power.
• Produce schematics, PCB layouts and technical documentation.
• Support prototype build, debugging, testing and iteration.
• Take designs through validation and into production.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware and manufacturing teams.
