Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd is hiring a Category Manager (L8) for the Electronics Division, covering Edinburgh, Basildon and Luton. The role reports to the UK Senior Category Manager and manages the category strategy across multiple UK sites with a focus on test solutions, engineering outsourcing, and vendor-managed inventory.

You will lead a procurement team, drive cost-saving initiatives, and ensure governance and SAP alignment.

Qualifications

• Extensive procurement experience, including category management.
• Experience managing a team of professionals in a corporate environment.
• MS Office-based IT skills; SAP experience preferred; CIPS qualification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the strategy for the category(ies) under your ownership across UK sites.
• Manage a procurement team to implement the relevant category strategy.
• Oversee contract execution including vendor shortlisting and tender management.
• Promote cross-functional engagement to identify opportunities and optimise supplier relationships.
• Be accountable for relationships with strategic suppliers and conduct regular business reviews.
• Define and implement the category strategy with the Head of Direct Category Management.
• Ensure SAP reflects agreed terms and alignment with category agreements.
