Leonardo UK seeks a Senior Category Buyer to join the Electronics Division's Category Organisation. You will report to the UK Category Procurement Manager and help shape category strategies that align with business objectives.

This role offers hybrid working in the UK, with responsibilities spanning supplier management, tender leadership, and cost optimization in a regulated defence environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive procurement experience and category management is preferred.
• Demonstrable working knowledge and understanding of Contract Terms & Conditions.
• Significant experience in managing complex tenders.
• Experience working in a highly regulated business environment.
• Proficient level of MS Office based IT skills.
• CIPS qualification preferred and SAP user experience.

Responsabilités

• Support the Category Manager in developing and implementing category strategies aligned to business objectives.
• Represent the category team across projects to satisfy production and new product development requirements.
• Establish and maintain contractual frameworks with multiple vendors.
• Manage relationships with strategic suppliers across sites and conduct regular business reviews.
• Collaborate with the procurement capability team to ensure a resilient supply base.
• Identify cost savings opportunities and present to business leaders.
• Conduct price analysis and benchmarking prior to negotiations.
• Support customer bids by ensuring vendor quotations are valid and by sourcing new suppliers.
