Job summary

Verso Recruitment Group is seeking a lead hardware engineer to drive next-generation smart hardware at a design-led and fast-growing company in the UK. You will own digital, analogue, RF, and power electronics, and work closely with senior technical leaders.

Responsibilities include schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, and ensuring EMC compliance. You will collaborate with production teams and create comprehensive documentation for internal and regulatory needs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong embedded hardware and PCB design experience.
• Deep EMC understanding and lab testing (oscilloscopes, probes).
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with a collaborative approach.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer.
• Experience with STMicroelectronics, Espressif, or Atmega MCUs.
• Background in IoT or mains-powered smart product development.
• EMC by design and antenna tuning.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
