Job summary

Safran Electrical & Power in the UK is seeking a Principal Electro-Mechanical Engineer to drive technical and economic performance across product life cycles, leading design reviews and roadmap development. You will analyse market needs, guide the design process, and collaborate with R&T to keep products ahead of the curve.

The role focuses on mechanical design and rotating electric machines within a global aerospace context.

Qualifications

• Degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• Experience in rotating machinery design.
• Knowledge of airworthiness regulations (EASA/FAA/RTCA).

Responsibilities

• Lead design & technical reviews for product families to ensure First Time Right outcomes.
• Elaborate and maintain product roadmaps with Research & Technology collaboration.
• Identify and influence research/technology studies related to your product domain.
• Act as main contact for mechanical design issues and rotating electric machines.
