Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking a Senior Assembler in Fareham to join a busy engineering and manufacturing team. You will assemble IPCs, servers, racks and electro-mechanical products to engineering drawings and specifications, and build and modify cable assemblies.

This hands-on role requires excellent cable assembly, crimping and soldering skills, plus the ability to read drawings and instructions. The position offers 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:00pm) with a £28,000-£35,000 salary and

Qualifications

• Experience in Assembly, Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Wiring, or Production Technician roles.
• Strong cable assembly, crimping, soldering, and wiring experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Assembly of IPCs, servers, racks, and electro-mechanical products to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Build and modification of cable assemblies using approved tools and techniques.
• Crimping, soldering, wiring, and cable termination to IPC standards.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, work instructions, and customer requirements.
• Identifying and highlighting any build issues, drawing discrepancies, or instruction errors.
