Job summary

HRGO Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Assembler (Electro-Mechanical) to join an established UK engineering manufacturer in Chelmsford. This workshop-based role builds electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies from drawings and detailed instructions to produce high-quality equipment.

You will perform wiring, crimping and soldering, use hand and power tools safely, read engineering drawings, and complete basic quality checks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electro-mechanical / electromechanical assembly (manufacturing environment).
• Confident with hand tools and power tools.
• Practical wiring experience including crimping and soldering.
• Able to follow drawings/work instructions with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Build electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies to specification
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and accurately
• Carry out wiring tasks including cable routing, termination and loom work
• Perform crimping and soldering of connections to the required standard
• Read and follow engineering drawings, build instructions and checklists
• Complete basic quality checks, report faults, and support rework where required
• Maintain good housekeeping and follow health & safety procedures at all times

Location: Chelmsford, Essex

Salary Guide: £28,000-£33,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Overtime Rate

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Focus: Hands-on electro-mechanical assembly, wiring, crimping and soldering
