Job summary

National Grid Electricity Distribution in Gloucester is recruiting a Grade 5 Network Planner to design, cost and deliver improvements to the electricity network while working with engineers to reinforce or replace assets.

After training you will plan and quote projects, ensure safe access to sites, and use software tools on iPads/computers. A full UK driving licence is required for site visits and training will support progression to the necessary qualifications.

Qualifications

• English and Maths GCSE Grade C/Level 4 minimum or Functional Skills Level 2 or above.
• Level 2 City & Guilds 2339 or equivalent qualification; Level 3 2339 if not yet attained.
• Evidence of qualifications required prior to appointment; may start at lower salary during training.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver new services, alterations and small capital projects.
• Design schemes aligned with Engineering Directives and consider voltage drops.
• Prepare quotations and Connection Agreements for LV works.
• Access, remove or avoid site risks.
