Job summary

National Grid Electricity Distribution in Gloucester is recruiting a Grade 5 Network Planner to design, cost and quote projects, and to oversee the replacement and reinforcement of the electric network. You will collaborate with engineers to ensure timely delivery while maintaining safety and quality.

Initial salary may be adjusted as required for training. A full UK driving licence and range of software skills will support fieldwork and site visits.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths C/Level 4 minimum or Functional Skills Level 2 or above.
• Level 2 City & Guilds 2339, or equivalent qualification; Level 3 City & Guilds 2339 if not yet attained.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on after training: design, costing and quoting for projects.
• Replacement/diversion/reinforcement of existing network assets.
• Assess supply chain capacity for new electrics in the area.
