Job summary
Government Facility Services Ltd is seeking an Electrician to join the team at HMP Bedford. You will perform electrical maintenance and repairs on commercial/industrial systems, support planned and preventive maintenance, and ensure health and safety compliance.
You must hold BS7671 18th edition, Level 3 Electrical Installation, and have at least two years’ experience as a qualified electrician. The role is full-time and permanent with a salary of £39,579.20 plus a 5% weekend shift allowance and
Qualifications
- Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition) is required.
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL) with NVQs/AM2/AM2S.
- Minimum two years’ experience as a fully qualified electrician.
- Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems.
- Good health & safety knowledge.
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside experienced colleagues in maintenance roles to maintain safe and secure environments.
- Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on commercial or industrial systems.
- Support planned and preventive maintenance operations.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
