Job description

Senior Electrician required for our client, a well-established M&E contractor based in West Yorkshire that specialises in projects and contracts within the commercial sector, with a salary of £42k on offer, with a company van, door to door travel pay, and opportunities to progress into management in 12 - 24 months.

• Salary £40,000 - £42,000, depending on experience
• Company van provided, with personal use available
• Overtime paid at 1.5x for anything over 8 hours, with additional rates agreed for any weekend/evening work undertaken

Our client offers a range of services within the M&E sector to clients across Yorkshire and the Humber from their offices based just outside Leeds, and are part of a large group of companies that has been in operation for over 40 years and turn over upwards of £40m per annum. They work largely within the commercial sector, with their client base including a number of schools, colleges, hospitals, and prisons.

• Travelling to a variety of commercial sites across Yorkshire and the Humber, completing planned/reactive electrical maintenance
• Completing regular electrical testing, including submitting all NICEIC reports to company QS
• Supervising engineers/electricians on site, including assisting with technical queries and liaising with clients/customers
• Taking part in regular training opportunities with the idea to eventually progress into a management position within the business
• 5+ years' experience as an Electrician, ideally with a full electrical apprenticeship background including NVQ Level 3 & AM2 qualifications
• 18 th Edition essential, with JIB Gold Card & 2391 (or equivalent), desirable but not essential
• Experience supervising and/or managing Electrician's on-site, with any project/contracts management experience desirable
• Either currently hold or confident in being able to get an Enhanced DBS certificate upon starting
• Full UK driving licence
