Senior Electrician

Our client, a well-established M&E contractor based in West Yorkshire, is seeking a Senior Electrician. The company specialises in projects within the commercial sector and offers a salary of £42,000, a company van, door-to-door travel pay, and opportunities for management progression within 12-24 months.

• Salary: £40,000 - £42,000, depending on experience
• Company van provided, with personal use available
• Overtime paid at 1.5x for hours over 8, with additional rates for weekend/evening work

The client operates across Yorkshire and the Humber, servicing commercial clients such as schools, hospitals, and prisons, from their offices near Leeds. They are part of a group with over 40 years of history and an annual turnover exceeding £40m.

Responsibilities:

1. Travel to various commercial sites across Yorkshire and complete planned/reactive electrical maintenance.
2. Conduct electrical testing and submit NICEIC reports.
3. Supervise electricians on site, assist with technical queries, and liaise with clients.
4. Participate in training with the goal of progressing into management.

Minimum Requirements:

1. 5+ years' experience as an Electrician, with a full electrical apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, and AM2 qualifications.
2. 18th Edition certification.
3. JIB Gold Card and 2391 (or equivalent) desirable but not essential.
4. Experience supervising or managing electricians and projects is desirable.
5. Ability to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate upon starting.
6. Full UK driving licence.
