Job description

Senior Electrician required for our client, a well-established M&E contractor based in West Yorkshire that specialises in projects and contracts within the commercial sector, with a salary of 42k on offer, with a company van, door-to-door travel pay, and opportunities to progress into management in 12 - 24 months.

Senior Electrician Position Remuneration

• Salary: 40,000 - 42,000, depending on experience
• Company van provided, with personal use available
• 40 hour working week, Monday - Friday
• Overtime paid at 1.5x for anything over 8 hours, with additional rates for weekend/evening work
• Door-to-door travel paid
• 32 days holiday, including bank holidays

Our client offers a range of services within the M&E sector to clients across Yorkshire and the Humber from their offices near Leeds. They are part of a large group with over 40 years of operation and an annual turnover exceeding 40 million. Their work largely involves the commercial sector, serving clients such as schools, colleges, hospitals, and prisons.

Senior Electrician Position Responsibilities

1. Traveling to various commercial sites across Yorkshire and the Humber for planned and reactive electrical maintenance
2. Conducting electrical testing and submitting NICEIC reports to the company QS
3. Supervising engineers/electricians on site, assisting with technical queries, and liaising with clients
4. Participating in training opportunities with the aim to progress into management within the business

Senior Electrician Position Requirements

1. 5+ years' experience as an Electrician, with a full electrical apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, and AM2 qualifications
2. 18th Edition certification is essential; JIB Gold Card and 2391 (or equivalent) desirable
3. Experience supervising or managing Electricians on-site; project/contract management experience is a plus
4. Ability to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate upon starting
5. Full UK driving licence
