Job summary

McLaren Automotive Ltd is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead and support series electrical activity within the EE Programmes department. You will manage hardware/software delivery into all series programmes, including MPC support and aftersales investigations, with leadership of small workstreams and strong autonomy.

Applicants should hold an Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree (2:1+), have OEM/Tier 1 experience, and be proficient with DFMEA, Ethernet/CAN/LIN protocols, and tools like

Qualifications

• Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree 2:1 or above.
• Experience with high-volume or niche-volume programs in OEM or Tier 1.
• Strong technical skills to design/optimise and solve novel problems.
• Knowledge of DFMEA and automotive environment.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols: Ethernet, CAN, LIN.
• Experience with Mantis or Jira.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ES&C support within MPC and manage electrical issue resolution.
• Maintain a right-to-left plan for component/QCR delivery and drive critical RCA.
• Oversee external headcount to meet series KPI targets.
• Lead investigations and resolutions for aftersales technical requests.
• Support software integration changes and timing with the team.
• Own designs, lead reviews, perform root-cause analysis, and improve processes.
