A Senior Electrical Systems Engineer position is currently available with Belcan in Windsor, CT. This is a full-time, direct job with full benefits. In this role, you will support an industry-leading aerospace company solving complex electrical systems engineering problems. You will leverage your experience to define electrical system/sub-system requirements, support electronic hardware systems design, and support safety and reliability assessments. Senior Electrical Engineer job duties:

1. Support electronic hardware systems design activities
2. Develop and refine electronic system and hardware requirements
3. Lead technical discussions and reviews with key stakeholders
4. Perform analysis in support of system verification, validation, and compatibility
5. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement as part of Agile product development
6. Track budgets and task completion in support of project management

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Systems Engineering, or related engineering discipline
2. 5+ years of electrical design or electrical systems experience
3. Experience with structured requirements documentation systems such as DOORs or Jama
4. Demonstrated experience with the system requirements development cycle
5. Experience in aerospace, maritime, or other safety-critical industries
6. U.S. Citizenship is REQUIRED due to the nature of the work
7. Active DoD Secret security clearance is REQUIRED

Desired but not required skills:

• Experience with Agile for hardware as a developer, SCRUM master, or Product Owner
• Experience with Jira and Confluence for project management and knowledge management
• Experience with Siemens NX or Teamcenter
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink
• Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler
• Experience designing systems with closed-loop control for performance over harsh environmental conditions

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. The salary range is $125,000 to $160,000. Benefits may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and other paid leave as required by law.
