Job Description:

System Engineer – SaaS, Cloud, DevOps

Up to £575 per day (Outside IR35)

Primarily Remote

6 months initially

My client requires a System Engineer to design, implement, and manage infrastructure for a business-critical programme.

Key Requirements:
  • Proven commercial experience working as a System Engineer in a large, complex organization.
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure, tooling, and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
  • Expertise in security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO27001, NIST, GDPR), and best practices for securing large-scale infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have:
  • Immediate availability
  • Previous experience working within Oil / Gas / Energy / Utilities industry.
  • Flexibility to travel on-site if needed.
