Job summary

Winthrop Technologies Ltd. in Blyth, United Kingdom, is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to lead the full electrical scope of works on large-scale projects. The role requires coordinating design, subcontracts, and field execution to ensure safety, on-time delivery, and quality.

The successful candidate will manage budgets, schedules, and resources while maintaining proactive communication with clients and internal teams to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience managing large-scale electrical projects such as commercial offices, retail developments, hotels, schools, or data centres.
• Data centre project experience is highly desirable.
• Trade or Engineering qualification preferred, with recent experience managing major electrical contracts.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven track record in managing project schedules, budgets, and resources within complex, fast‑paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all electrical installation activities across the project.
• Coordinate electrical design and technical activities with internal teams and subcontractors.
• Supervise and monitor ongoing works, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
• Engage with clients and key stakeholders to maintain clear communication and alignment on project goals.
• Lead weekly coordination meetings with key stakeholders (foremen, Safety Advisor, QA Engineer, BIM teams).
• Ensure all meeting actions are recorded, assigned, and closed out prior to the next meeting.
• Prepare and present comprehensive weekly project reports, including incident/accident reports, schedule updates, 12-week lookahead, procurement forecasts, weekly variation log, and delays/risks.
• Review and sign off on project documentation and weekly foremen reports, ensuring all issues are tracked and closed out promptly.
