Job summary

Winthrop Technologies Ltd. is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join the project team in Blyth, United Kingdom.

You will lead all electrical works on site, ensuring safety, programme delivery, budget adherence and top quality across the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include directing day-to-day site operations, coordinating with planners, subcontractors and design teams, and enforcing QA/QC and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar.
• Minimum 7+ years’ experience within electrical construction with a site management focus.
• Proven experience managing electrical systems on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and programme delivery.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Experience with data centre, industrial, or mission-critical projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all Electrical construction activities across the project lifecycle
• Lead day-to-day electrical site operations in coordination with the wider project team
• Ensure QA/QC processes are implemented and maintained per specifications
• Coordinate project schedules with Planners, Project Managers, subcontractors and design teams
• Manage electrical subcontractor performance, including progress tracking and coordination meetings
• Ensure all subcontractor documentation and safety documents are up to date
• Attend and lead Site Meetings, Engineering Reviews, Planning Meetings and handovers
• Liaise with design team to ensure construction information is issued on programme
• Review drawings and submittals for quality and buildability of electrical systems
• Ensure adherence to health & safety standards and promote safety culture
• Support commercial management by tracking variations and costs
• Issue progress reports to senior management
• Manage electrical snagging and close-out activities
• Identify and resolve technical, design and coordination issues
