Job summary

JAB Recruitment is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer for a defence/energy client in Inchinnan, near Glasgow. You will lead electrical engineering design solutions across new systems and products, support lifecycle activities from development to field upgrades, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, on-time, within-budget solutions.

The role requires strong electrical design experience, DC power systems, controls and instrumentation, experience with SolidWorks

Qualifications

Electrical engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
Experience in subsea or naval defence projects preferred.
Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical design across new systems and products.
Provide technical support to existing product ranges.
Represent the company during customer design reviews, audits and acceptance testing.
Review and approve drawings and technical documentation.
Produce specifications, test procedures, certifications and reports.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Production, Software, Controls, Electronics and Mechanical Engineering teams.
Mentor and support junior engineers.
Ensure engineering solutions are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
