Job summary

James Fisher and Sons plc is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Inchinnan, hybrid, for a full-time, permanent role. You will deliver innovative electrical design solutions and through-life support across the JFD product range, including submarine rescue equipment and systems.

You will own projects from concept to completion, producing high-quality documentation while meeting deadlines and budgets. The role requires security checks, strong communication skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Electrical and electronics design capabilities for product development.
• Experience generating design calculations and engineering documentation.
• Familiarity with marine and defence standards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design input for new products and technical support for existing products.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to deliver appropriate technical solutions.
• Source components and maintain BOMs.
• Produce and review specifications, assembly instructions, test procedures and reports.
• Ensure drawings and documentation comply with processes and standards.
