UK Atomic Energy Authority invites an experienced Senior Electrical Power Engineer to lead complex LV, MV and HV distribution projects across our facilities and high-power computing programmes, delivering safe, reliable power systems.

You'll provide technical leadership, supervise staff and contractors, and ensure compliance with UK standards while supporting flexible onsite working patterns. Join us to advance fusion energy infrastructure and talent development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with professional registration or in formal progression towards incorporated/chartered status.
• Extensive post-qualification experience in power distribution (LV/MV/HV) in industrial or harsh environments.
• Experience designing, installing and testing LV/MV distribution networks with isolations and racking.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium-to-large LV and MV distribution projects from concept through detailed design and delivery.
• Lead the design and development of HV/MV/LV earthing systems with soil resistivity modelling and EPR assessments.
• Provide technical authority for LV, MV and HV networks and deliver power systems studies (load flow, short circuit, power quality).
• Supervise electrical staff and contractors and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
